Abstract

Abstract: Chlorophyll-deficient and virescent mutants are nonlethal and similar in great reduction in Chlorophyll concentration, highter Chlorophyll a/b ratio, low protein composition on thylakoid membrane, immature development of thylakoid membrane, high frequency of whorl lamellae, great change of Chlorophyll-protein complexes and sensitivity to temperature sensitivity of these two mutants may be the results of the above deficiencies. According to the response to environmental alterations. Chlorophyll-deficient mutants can be placed into two groups: one just adjusts the Chlorophyll content, whereas the other simultaneously adjust both Chlorophyll content and a/b ratio.
