They are important for agriculture, industry, and the environment. This study introduces and illustrates a new species, Trichoderma yilanense, based on both morphological and molecular evidence. Phylogenetic analyses were conducted using sequences from rDNA ITS1-5.8S-ITS2 (ITS), the translation elongation factor 1-alpha (tef1) and the RNA polymerase II subunit (rpb2) gene regions. The results support the classification of the new species as a distinct member within the Harzianum clade of the genus Trichoderma. Furthermore, the morphological similarities and differences between the new species and its phylogenetically close relatives are discussed.}, DOI = {10.6165/tai.2025.70.382} }
