%X This is a taxonomic study of Clematis L. (Ranunculaceae) in Taiwan. Twenty taxa, including thirteen species, two subspecies and five varieties are described: one new species, i.e., C. tamurae T. Y. A. Yang et T. C. Huang and one new combination, C. parviloba Gard. ex Champ. subsp. bartlettii (Yamam.) T. Y. A. Yang et T. C. Huang, are proposed. A key, description and distribution maps for each taxon are given.
