AB -The Green alga, Geminella interrupta (Turp.) Lagerhaim has been found to have a variation with growth in cell arrangement, based on observations of the organism in Unialgal culture. The reproduction by zoospores in the genus Geminella is also found. It gives stronger evidences to support the Blackman and Smith's idea of "the filamentous condition is derived from some palmellate ancestor.
