AB -Two new species of Plagiostachys from Zamboanga Peninsula, Philippines, are described and illustrated. Plagiostachys subsessiliflora Mazo and Plagiostachys longipetiolata Mazo, both have non-mucilaginous inflorescences. A distribution map, proposed conservation assessment, and an updated key to Philippine Plagiostachys species are provided.
