Abstract

In the present paper, 34 species of acanthaceous plants belonging to 20 genera are discussed. Information on their general morphology, vegetative and floral anatomy, palynology, and geographical distribution is presented. Much of this data subjected to a taxometric analysis based upon the graph theory. The results serve as a guide to determine the phenetic relationships among the genera.
