Abstract

A new species of Anisochilus, Anisochilus petraeus (Lamiaceae) is described based on samples collected in the Achankovil Forests of southern Western Ghats, India. A botanical illustration, photographs of the new taxon, information about the habitat and its conservation status are also provided, including a key to the species of Anisochilus from the south Western Ghats.
