Pathogenic Fungi Associated with Taipei Pigeons

Abstract
Fungal isolations from the pigeon population in the metropolitan area of Taipei were investigated. Five potential pathogenic species found included Aspergillus fumigatus, A. niger, Cryptococcus neoformans, Geotrichum candium, and Histoplasma capsulatum. Twenty four other species of taxonomic interest were also observed .
